Architect A.M. Strauss designed this Tudor Revival apartment complex in 1925. Tudor elements include the brick and parapet with crenelations and finials, tudor-arched entries, and decorative corner quoins. The influence of the Spanish Eclectic style can be seen in the shallow, glazed terra cotta and iron balconies of the upper floors.
Opening in 1926 as the first ever large apartment building in Fort Wayne, Sheridan was a luxury building, housing the elite of the city. Sheridan Court was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
The current owner bought this wonderful space on the Ides of March in 2013 and has been restoring the building to is original grandeur.
Located Downtown in the extremely desirable West Central Historic District, Sheridan Court is the premiere historic residence in downtown, and the city as a whole.
